London City Guide

I began my love affair with the UK 22 years ago when my twin sis met Jonathan Green and moved to London. I cherish my visits to London and will sometimes visit eight times a year. Places come and places go, some stay the same. I love to go back to my favorites, as well as find new ones, so I always keep a running list for London. Discovery á là Hunter Gatherer is my thing.

On my current London List for 2016:
In the London area of Pimlico:
Rose Uniacke: Chicest shop I’ve ever seen. For everything really.

Decor Barbares by Natalie Farman-Farma for Fabrics and Blankets.

Alex Eagle. I love the glassware, her tight edit of clothes, jewelry and lifestyle objects upstairs.

Roksanda Ilincic. Colorful and Chic. She has a chic new shop. I am obsessed with the new high waisted pant with slight flare, pre fall 2016. In her shop this summer.

The Shop at Bluebird. Chic unknown designers.

Heywood Hill. A special bookshop.

Louisa Guinness Gallery. Art meets Jeweler. Picasso, Lalanne, Calder, Sophia Vari.

Pentreath & Hall by Ben Pentreath for candles (they have the best colors) and coasters (felt!)

Dover street for Alice Cicolini rings.

In the London area of Notting Hill:
Themes & Variations. Liliane Fawcett’s enduringly chic gallery has a strong focus on French and Italian decorative arts and furniture, especially from the 1970s.

The Tin Shed for coffee.

Chucs on Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill. My friend Charles Finch is a genius at everything he touches. Chucs has the most delicious food and is the best place for a girls night out.

Wild at Heart, chicest flower stand. It’s still standing after 22 years!

Planet Organic, best juices to take away.
Ottolenghi 63 Ledbury Road. I will always and forever LOVE the take away food.

MELT 59 Ledbury Road. The best presents, best chocolate, cleanest & chicest chocolates ever.

Aimé, Ledbury Road #FrenchFinds you can’t get in the USA like Vanessa Seward jeans (LOVE!)

Matches Fashion highlight of Ledbury Road.

Delam, Persian knitwear. A chic and fun new find. I heart the fringe cardigan.

I always make sure I go to Goldborne Road for antiques and coffee.
SOLER, 88 Bevington Road off the Goldborne Road. Think Spanish chic for dresses, tops, leather, shearling accessories. We love Soler so much ARossGirl created a dress collaboration with them!

Bodas, 38B Ledbury Road. Best push up bras without underwire. So comfortable. I love the PJ’s and the bras.

Jessie Western. Chepstow Villas meets Portobello Road. The coolest sisters selling turquoise, boots and everything Native American in London.

Venusrox, All Saints Road. Best for crystals and Cabinet of Curiosities.

Lutyens & Rubinstein, 21 Kensington Park Road. Literary agents turned book sellers. I find books here that I always want to read and that you can’t find anywhere else.

Pippa Small, 201 Westbourne Grove. I love her Afghan connection Lapis jewels.

Duro Olowu, the “Venice of Africa.” Am obsessed.

Belmacz, Julia Muggenberg. For being so creative in bringing art and jewelry into each other orbit.
