The Dress, The Cape & The Shoes
It was this time last year when I started to plan my wedding. My now-husband and I were married on April 29th, 2016. I met the love of my life thru two mutual friends of ours at Bilbouquet in NYC, one of our favorite go-to spots! I was charmed by his southern-ness, his cowboy boots and well, everything about him! He swept me off my feet and I’ve never looked back.
Since we both had been married before we wanted to keep the ceremony small with just immediate family and have a big celebration to follow. We had a lot of people who had supported us both through the years and asked them to come celebrate and cheer us on.
Reflecting on our wedding, and planning for our first anniversary, I am sharing some of the stories from our special day. For something blue I looked no further than Manolo Blahnik. If you read my posts regularly, you’ll notice Manolo’s pop up regularly. These shoes are so beautiful and comfortable, and better still I wear them often.
My wedding dress was designed by Peter Copping for Oscar de la Renta. I saw the Oscar bridal show and fell in love with this cape and was so excited when Peter said he wanted to design my dress. Almost one year later people are still talking about my dress. I’m forever grateful to Eliza and Alex Bolen and Peter and his team.
